Lantern Village

Inspired by an installation by Peter Field for an early Illuminares, this was part of the Victoria Inter-Cultural Association's (ICA) Luminara lantern event in Beacon Hill Park. My daughter Lucy and I led workshops in our community of James Bay.

This is an easy project to do as a workshop, and becomes a living metaphor and conversation about who we are together, what is home, and what makes a village.
