parade of life

Paula Jardine

Much of my work has been exploring and cultivating cultural forms that celebrate and connect us to the landscape we live in. In indigenous cultures, expressions that link us to natural cycles are inherent. While the roots of colonial cultures may have held forms bound to old country landscapes, for the large part these traditions have not been maintained in a meaningful way, particularly not in urban settings. Recognizing that we are not separate from natural systems is essential.
